What is conveyancing?

In its simplest terms, conveyancing is where a transfer of ownership of property has taken place. There are two parties to the transaction, a seller and purchaser. In practice, conveyancing is quite complex and requires the services of an expert.

What is the difference between a conveyancer and a conveyancing lawyer?

Conveyancing lawyer can provide legal advice on the transaction, whereas a conveyancer cannot.

What is a Section 32?

A Section 32 is also known as a 'vendor statement'. The vendor statement discloses certain information which affects the use of the property, such as the annual rates costs, any charges against the property, building notices, and whether the property is encumbered by a mortgage or covenant easement.

What costs associated with conveyancing?

We charge a flat rate of $750.00 plus GST and disbursements.
