Minuri Dharmasena

Background

Born and raised in Sri Lanka before relocating to Melbourne as a child, Minuri began her legal career at one of Canberra’s leading boutique law firms. She enjoyed working in a predominantly female firm and the camaraderie and strategic thinking involved in litigation and criminal defence. As a junior solicitor, Minuri acted and appeared in matters before the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal, ACT Magistrates and Supreme Courts, the NSW Local, District and Supreme Courts and the Federal Court of Australia.

Drawn home to be with family, Minuri joined AANDI’s team in 2024 to focus on commercial litigation. She can assist with property, construction, shareholder, partnership and employment disputes, commercial transactions, wills, and estates. A pragmatic and articulate litigator, Minuri utilises her legal proficiency, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills to provide clients with considered, tailored, practical advice. Adept at simplifying legal jargon, she develops creative strategies to best advocate for her clients.

Minuri enjoys travelling throughout Australia and Southeast Asia, experiencing a variety of cuisines, and delving into the wondrous world of astrophysics when she can.
